How to share a PDF as a link
Open a PDF in PDF2WEB, choose Create sharing link, wait for the upload and copy the generated URL. Free links last 12 hours from creation. Anyone who receives the URL can read the document while it is available.
先打开 PDF,再点击“生成分享链接”。点击分享才上传;免费链接 12 小时有效,请保留删除凭证。
Create a temporary reading link
- Open PDF2WEB and click Choose PDF file. Choose a PDF no larger than 50 MB.
- After it opens, click Create sharing link in the header.
- Keep the page open until the upload finishes and the link is ready. If it fails, read the displayed error before retrying.
- Click Copy sharing link, then send the URL using your usual messaging or email app.
What happens when you share?
This action uploads the PDF to PDF2WEB's server storage. It differs from local reading, which does not upload the file. The URL opens a browser reader for the original PDF; it does not produce editable HTML source, an OCR transcript or a public website made from your document.
Expiry and access
A free link expires 12 hours after it is created, not 12 hours after each visitor opens it. The sharing dialog displays its expiry time. After expiry the file is no longer available through that link. Free sharing is temporary, so keep your original PDF and do not treat the link as a backup or a permanent download address.
The link is not protected by a recipient login or a separate sharing password. Anyone with it can view the PDF, and someone who has viewed a file may already have saved a copy. Do not share confidential, personal or otherwise sensitive documents this way.
Delete a share early
Use My shares in the same browser to manage records saved there. For a new share, open the management section in its dialog and back up the deletion credentials. Clearing browser data can remove those local records. Keep the credentials private: they authorize deletion of the shared file. Deleting the share disables the URL but cannot recall copies already saved by recipients.
If the upload cannot finish
Check that the file is a valid PDF within the size limit. Keep a stable connection during upload. Upload frequency and service-capacity limits may temporarily prevent sharing; follow the error message instead of repeatedly starting new uploads. Contact support if the problem persists.
